Therapeutic Massage

Individualized bodywork, never a routine.

Massage at Body Ritual is built around what your body is asking for that day. Every session blends modalities, from trigger point and myofascial release to lymphatic techniques, deeper tissue work, and assisted stretching. We tailor them in the room to your pressure, your focus areas, and how you are arriving.

The approach

Many modalities, one session.

Rather than picking a single style off a menu, we build the session in the room. Chronic shoulder holding might be met with trigger point work and cross-fiber friction. A stiff low back might call for myofascial release and assisted stretching. Post-travel puffiness might lean into slower lymphatic techniques.

We calibrate pressure, pacing, and focus throughout, always with you in the loop.

What clients say

Why clients keep coming back

Tandy is the best massage therapist I've ever met — she finds all of the specific things that I need based on my body, and is constantly learning and improving. She tries hard, and always does the full session length. If you work with Tandy, you won't get a generic massage!
— Russell
I feel comfortable during my massages with Tandy and appreciate her expertise in deciding what to work on, explaining what she's doing, and asking for feedback during the sessions. I love how she can accommodate exactly what problems I have at the moment — sometimes even targeting muscles I never knew were there. Her open-mindedness shines throughout: a lot of massage therapists just go through the motions, but Tandy works with me to fix a problem!

Massage FAQ

Common questions

How is this different from a standard Swedish or spa massage?

Every session is built around what your body is asking for that day. There is no fixed routine. We blend modalities like trigger point, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, and assisted stretching based on your intake, so no two sessions look exactly alike.

Which techniques might be used in my session?

Depending on your needs, a single session can incorporate trigger point therapy, myofascial release, deeper tissue work, lymphatic drainage, cross-fiber friction, and gentle assisted stretching. Pressure, pacing, and focus are calibrated throughout.

What should I tell you before we start?

Anything current: pain, injuries, headaches, posture patterns, workouts, long travel, stress load. The more we know about how you are arriving, the more precisely we can tailor the session.

How long should I book for the first time?

If you're working with specific tension patterns, 90 minutes gives the most room to integrate multiple techniques. A 60-minute session is great for a focused reset.

Is this appropriate during pregnancy?

For pregnancy, we recommend our dedicated Prenatal Massage, which uses safe side-lying positioning and is tailored to each trimester.
